Polyamide film do?

Polyamide films offer a unique combination of a wide variety of chemical and physical properties, and that in a single film! In addition to these mechanical, thermal and optical properties, the barrier properties are also convincing. Polyamide films are also equipped with a natural plasticizer effect due to the typical polyamide water absorption capacity, which makes our films particularly suitable for thin and flexible, but nevertheless mechanically resistant, heat-stable and, last but not least, transparent applications brings.

Characteristics:

• excellent puncture resistance
• combination of strength, toughness and rigidity (elastic modulus)
• special heat stability and cold resistance
• extraordinary barrier and resistance to non-polar and less polar gases and liquids, such as fats, oils, hydrocarbons (MOSH or MOAH), solvents, fuels, aromas, chemicals, herbicides / fungicides, etc.
• balanced gas barrier (O2 and CO2)
• excellent transparency
• very good tribological properties, such as sliding friction or abrasion resistance

In addition, polyamide films are excellent for laminating (i.e. combining with other polymers), printing and metalizing.

After lamination, for example with polyethylene (PE), the polyamide layer gives the entire composite special mechanical properties on which the well-known excellent deep-drawability of such structures is based.

Due to the high heat resistance, sterility of our polyamide films can be guaranteed if necessary using various sterilization methods such as superheated steam, ethylene oxide, gamma (γ) radiation or HTP antibacterial treatment in autoclaves. They can also be used in "sous vide" cooking processes in a water bath.

We process selected raw materials into high-quality films on our modern machines. We produce OPA foils in thicknesses of 12, 15, 20 and 25 µm and in widths from approx. 400 mm to 2200 mm as well as CPA flat foils in thicknesses from 18 µm to 200 µm and in widths from approx. 400 mm to 3000 mm.

Depending on the product, up to 36,000 m long "mother rolls" are produced on our film lines, which can be made up on rewinders, if necessary "just in time", according to customer requirements.
