Our polyamide films have broad approval for direct and indirect food contact as well as for medical applications in accordance with a wide range of national and country-specific norms and standards. Above all, relevant EU directives such as EU Directive 10/2011, the requirements of the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (formerly BgVV or BGA), and the specifications of the Food & Drug Association (FDA) of the USA.
For applications in this segment, the high thermal stability also plays a central role, as this, together with chemical resistance, is a basic requirement for the use of various sterilization methods such as superheated steam, ethylene oxide and γ-radiation to achieve the necessary sterility.
- Sterilisable laminated composites such as bags or thermoformed packaging (OPA, CPA) for e.g. medical devices such as syringes, surgical instruments, surgical equipment, cannulas, hose connections, etc.
